Through innovation and consolidation Wyle Information Systems provides help desk support on more than 40 contracts to approximately 75,000 end-users at 15 major federal agencies, in some cases, providing 24x7x365 on-call technical support, seat management assistance, and hardware maintenance. Using ISO 9001:2000 certified processes, to develop standard operating procedures, best practices, and continuous improvement processes. At the Office of Naval Research (ONR), help desk staff, trained in database report development, respond to data requests more efficiently. For the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), help desk staff supports more than 42,000 FAA users at 35 sites nationwide.
Real-world application at the Social Security Administration (SSA) supported 22,000 servers and 120,000 users nationwide, with the team receiving 12 Commissioner’s and Associate Commissioner’s Awards—an achievement, unmatched by any previous SSA contractor. For the Department of Labor’s Job Corps Data Center (JCDC), Wyle Information Systems staff implemented and operates a nationwide network serving more than 15,000 users at 124 sites, administering 146 servers and 8,500 active network nodes, within the JCDC Network Operations Center (NOC). As a recognized leader in network engineering and management, industry experience includes developing designs and specifications, procuring and installing components, maintaining security, monitoring performance, and managing circuits.
The Department of Energy (DOE) gets the full benefit of both Network and Help Desk Management expertise. On the Information Technology Integrated Support Services (ITISS) contract, staff consolidated 34 operational help desks into just five in a 24x7 Consolidated Service Center supporting more than 14,000 nationwide users, directly managing, maintaining, and supporting an infrastructure consisting of approximately 200,000 nodes on multiple integrated networks. Receiving a DOE commendation from federal managers, stating that contract staff have, “been instrumental in... efforts to achieve the greatest network performance and superior cyber protection...”
