Environmental Factors Laboratories
The mission of these laboratories is to conduct investigations into environmental issues associated with space flight and to develop operationally acceptable standards and methodologies to minimize risk to the crewmember.
Wyle's primary responsibilities are to:
- Investigate operationally relevant environmental issues associated with human space flight.
- Set interim standards for maximum allowable concentrations of contaminants.
- Measure, monitor and ensure the safety of the air, water, food, and biological environments.
