Wyle has been recognized as the nation’s leading expert in sound insulation since 1968 when they conducted the first program of its type in the nation at Los Angeles International Airport. Since that date, Wyle has performed more than 50 similar programs at 30 airport communities across the country. The programs have involved many types of buildings including residences, schools, churches, and assisted living facilities. Wyle provides comprehensive services ranging anywhere from project consultant — noise measurements — acoustical design — to full-scale program management.

Highlights of more than 30 years of experience includes:

  • Author of USDOT/FAA publication Guidelines for Sound Insulation of Residences Exposed to Aircraft Operations, a comprehensive guide to implementing sound insulation programs.
  • Sound insulation of over 10,000 homes nationwide.
  • 800+ homes annually at Chicago O’Hare Int’l and Los Angles Int’l Airports
  • Produced sound insulation design guides for US Navy, FAA, Los Angeles Department of Airports, Raleigh-Durham International Airport, and Baltimore/Washington International Airport.
