SIMplanner™ is an intuitive decision support tool that enables real-time management of residential sound insulation programs. SIMplanner™ enables project staff to simultaneously track the progress of each home and construction group from the date the participant entered the program, through the date and results of the noise monitoring tests, to the contract number and cost of the construction, and the final closeout date in the program.
In addition, project managers are able to combine airport specific data such as noisecontours with geospatial data from local communities such as building footprints, land use, orthorectified digital aerial and remote sensing imagery, tax parcels, street networks, and zoning to create comprehensive sound insulation plans. At the push of a button project managers can assess the financial impacts of on-going programs or thestatus of project schedules.
The system can be installed as a single- or multi-user database with networked access for the off-site staff, or it can be installed as a web-based Internet application. SIMplanner™ is also compatible with standard enterprise GIS solutions. One of the most important andvaluable features of the software, however, is that SIMplanner™ can be used by anyone without special instruction or training.
