AICUZ and RAICUZ Studies 

Wyle provides planning and analysis expertise in support of the development of Air and Range Installation Compatible Use Zone Studies (AICUZ & RAICUZ).  Our firm has conducted more than  200 studies in support of AICUZ/RAICUZ programs over the last two decades.AICUZ and RAICUZ Studies

Our long and reliable experience conducting studies in support of AICUZ/RAICUZ efforts for military installations provide us with advanced expertise in the assessment and execution of:

Installation Operational Requirements and Constraints;
DOD guidance on AICUZ/RAICUZ planning;
Data collection requirements for AICUZ/RAICUZ planning and reporting;
Coordination and Outreach protocols on military facilities;
Land-use constraints around military bases;
Expert noise and safety models for AICUZ planning

We have also developed the tools / models that are being widely used by the DOD in the development of noise exposure contours for military installations, including NOISEMAP and MR_NMAP, as well as the DOD’s next generation noise simulation model; the Advanced Acoustics Model (AAM).  Wyle’s experience also includes:

Reduction and analysis of air installation NASMOD data. Experts analysis of noise and accident potential zone impacts associated with new aircraft bed-down alternatives, Environmental assessments of BRAC basing scenarios. Environmental analysis of key systems – e.g., the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), the F/A-18 Hornet, and the MV-22.

Wyle is also the prime coordinator of the DOD’s Defense Noise Working Group (DNWG), which is a body comprising all major services coordinating DOD policy on noise exposure and land-use.
