  • To research, develop, test, and evaluate (RDT&E) warfighter life support equipment (LSE) systems in the high-altitude aerospace environment.
  • Life support RDT&E activities include:
    - human performance assessment and equipment evaluation

  • Altitude range: Up to 100,000 ftDecompression Sickness

  • Personnel capacity: 20
  • Chamber volume: 1920 cu ft
  • Manual and automatic altitude controls

Physiological & Experimental Measurements

  • EKG, oxygen saturation, inspiratory demand
  • Echo Imaging System with Robotic Arm for imaging intracardiac circulating gas emboli in human subjects
