Hardware and software interface compatibility to popular industry legacy equipment is a cornerstone of the product line. With the WREC 2111/2112C, there is no need to change current system cables or internally developed software to fully utilize the features and capabilities of the WREC systems. The data communications interfaces can be made compatible with existing installations for seamless integration with your system. Additional performance, new features, and extended capabilities are available as user installable field upgrades.

Remote Control Options
The WREC-2111/2112C systems support legacy communications interfaces and protocols. The system I/O on the Receiver system is processed through protocol converters to TDS standard XML-based table configurations. All configuration and status information is internally maintained in XML tables. 

Legacy RS 232/422

Support for legacy RS-232C and RS-422 interfaces is provided. These interfaces can be configured to support legacy communications formats and command and control protocols. TDS provides a protocol conversion layer between the serial communications interface and our internal XML-based configuration software allowing us to emulate customer’s legacy command and control interfaces.  WREC 2112/2112C systems can emulate two in-service units while maintaining legacy communications interface integrity. Network

WREC-2111/2112C systems support configuration, status, control and data publish/subscribe on a LAN/WAN network using the TCP/IP protocol. An integrated web server supports remote GUI displays accessed through a common web browser using Java-based technology.

Legacy IEEE-488 /GP-IB (Optional)

Support for legacy GP-IB interfaces is available. This interface supports legacy communications formats and command and control protocols. TDS provides a protocol conversion layer between the GP-IB communications interface and its internal XML-based configuration software allowing TDS to emulate your legacy command and control interfaces.
