Fully Integrated Display Editor. The display editor is fully integrated within the parameter database library giving users a fast and efficient way to assign parameters to the created displays. Manual filing of and searching for created displays is not necessary because created displays are managed by project name within the database manager.

The integrated display editor enables users to select the window display area—either fixed or floating geometry—along with a parameter library to assign the displays.

A DataViews display package is available as an integrated option. OMEGA WIndows displays comply with Windows standards. This allows displays to be sized, stacked, or turned into icons. OMEGA WIndows also provides a convenient display status area for stream lock status information and for system message logging.

Integrated Displays

  • Tabular; includes limit/alarm thresholds
  • Stripchart;  sample and data driven

Unlimited Access to Display Objects Without Multiple Licenses.  OMEGA Windows offers a client/server display environment based on Microsoft distributed com objects. This gives client workstations access to data and custom displays without requiring the OMEGA Windows processing engine. The software includes an integrated wizard tool to interface with the data and to create unique display objects that are built on the server and are accessible by clients over the network.

Users can run the strip chart display in either a sampled mode (current value table) or in a data-driven mode

Strip Chart Display Enhancements.  Users can run the strip chart display in either a sampled mode (current value table) or in a data-driven mode (all samples) in real time.  The strip chart display includes multiple user functions such as freeze, zoom, auto-scale, grid line selection, export, and screen save. OMEGA Windows also includes a strip chart viewer to enhance strip chart display capabilities during data recall from archived files.

Strip chart displays also include a trigger function that operates in both real-time and post-test analyses.  Users select trigger parameters and attributes (trigger level and polarity; one shot or continuous) in much the same way as they would with an oscilloscope.  For one-shot displays, users can select the amount of data to be displayed on either side of the trigger point.
