OMEGA
OMEGA incorporates some of the most powerful and accepted features of its earlier UNIX version. Key to this is the unique EU processing engine, which processes, archives, and distributes data within OMEGA and is the heart of the OMEGA telemetry software. This platform-independent processing engine includes real-time input and output hooks for user-specific and remote applications programming. OMEGA includes a complete library of standard processing algorithms as well as a derived parameter processing utility to support unique data processing requirements. Users can implement derived parameter processing through an ease-to-use, integrated menu to perform many standard functions. The software includes a tool that enables users to write their own math functions and to install them in the derived parameter processing library for repeated use.
OMEGA Data Environment – (ODE)
ODE enables data analysts and consumers to rapidly explore and exploit large heterogeneous data sets. Users can securely search, organized, correlate, create data products, and collaborate with their data. Using Object Oriented Data Management (OODM) technology, web services, and XML metadata, ODE users can navigate quickly and interact with the heterogeneous data over existing networks without modifying the format of the original data. The result is an order of magnitude improvement in data access time and productivity.
