Wyle's telemetry components include:
Best Data Source
The ideal BSS is not a best source selector because it is not the best “source” you need but the best “data.” Therefore, the solution is actually the Best Data Selector which provides: Traditional front-end decommutation; Dynamic buffering with delay variability to align, in time, the incoming data sources; Algorithms to watch across “N” data sources and on a “bit-by-bit” or “word-by- word” basis and to provide output data that is truly best data—not just best source. Wyle has developed the next generation product—Best Data Selector—to correct the deficiencies of the decom-only BSS.
Bit Synchronizers
The stand-alone PCM bit synchronizer, Model DBS-200, is a multi-featured, digitally-controlled bit synchronizer that provides state-of-the-art BER performance. The DBS-200 excels in harsh noise conditions with a signal-to-noise ratio level superior to every other unit in its class. The DBS-200 represents a breakthrough in high-speed digital bit synchronizers. Its patented loop width and tracking features enable the DBS-200 to attain the performance levels of bit synchronizers costing two or three times as much with equal performance.
Wyle also offers the following bit synchronizer products: PCI All-in-One Board (PPCMxx-x00T ); PCI-based PCM Bit Synchronizer Board (TSNCxx-400); PCM Input and Output Submodules (PCM-405-02 and PCM-406-02); PCM Input and Output Submodules (PCM-407 and PCM-408) ; Quadraplex PCM Bit Synchronizer Board (QSNCyyyyK-LCT-1); and the VME PCM Bit Synchronizer Board (VSNCxx-70x).
PCI & VME Cards
The Multi-stream PCI Frame Sync/Decom provides full IRIG Class II PCM decommutation and IRIG Chapter 8 1553 data processing in a low-cost, PC form factor. The TPCI board occupies a single card slot within any standard PC computer platform, and it connects directly to the high-speed PCI computer bus. The Frame Sync/Decom accepts input rates up to 30 Mbps. Data and clock inputs are accepted at RS-422 or TTL voltage levels. The single-slot module simultaneously supports, with options, two PCM streams and IRIG time input. It eliminates time skewing between the two PCM channels that can occur with two independent PCI interfaces. Decommutated data words, their associated tags, and time stamps are made available via high-speed block transfers over the PCI bus.
