Features
- 4-Channel Video and Audio Input and Output

- Occupies Single PCI Card Slot
- Supports Up to 4 Video Inputs of NTSC or PAL
- Supports IRIG 106 Chapter 10 Formats
Introduction
The G2 Video Input/Output board provides video-to-digital decoding along with its digital-to-analog encoding feature set to meet IRIG-106 Chapter 10 requirements. The analog output with microsecond reconstruction fidelity is combined with Chapter-10 counters to provide high-speed operation with precise time tagging support.
NTSC and PAL Encoding
The G2-Video card supports both PAL and NTSC input along with an option for SECAM. Also encoded with the video is left and right audio, which is formatted per IRIG-106 Chapter 10.
Formatting
Chapter-10 Format 0 is supported for both video and audio when encoded per IRIG 106 Chapter 10. The video/audio bit stream is encoded to MPEG-2.
Channel Subsampling
Each channel is independently programmed in order to support varying degrees of video encoding from low (~256 Kbps) to high (15 Mbps).
Data Reproduction
The card buffers data and can faithfully reproduce analog video data to within 40 milliseconds of interchannel time skew relative to other recorded channels.
By occupying a single PCI bus card slot, the PCI analog-to-digital decoding, along with its digital-to-analog encoding record/reproduce board, provides remarkable flexibility for IRIG 106 Chapter 10 Recorders in the laboratory environment.
