Introduction
The G2 IMUX Chassis are available in both commercial and ruggedized versions to support both airborne and laboratory environments.
Commercial
The commercial chassis provides the most cost effective solution, which allows the system integrator the flexibility to wire the system directly using industry standard connectors. It comes with dual removable disk drives along with a read and write CD/DVD unit for file transfer or system updating.
Rugged
To address the requirements for more rugged environments, the G2 IMUX chassis is also available in a ruggedized package. Ruggedization is provided through the use of card hold-downs, a rated power supply for shock and vibration, as well as shock isolators for the media. The rugged chassis also provides native connectorization via BNCs, D-sub, and 1553-style connectors.
Audio
Each chassis comes standard with an embedded audio card to provide “audio edge track” like performance for a Chapter 10 recorder. The audio is formatted compliant to IRIG-106 Chapter 10, Analog Data.
Expansion Chassis
The optional expansion chassis is a companion 4U chassis that provides an additional 12 slots of support. The chassis are connected via dual-bus architecture to support high data rates as well as microsecond time accuracy.
Media
G2 supports sATA, pATA, SCSI, and Fiber Channel media. Each is individually configurable based on mission requirements.
