The Wyle ACS has a modular design based on VXI architecture. It provides simultaneous, real time acquisition and display of all channels in 1/n octave, digital filter bands. Parallel DSP processors per input card maintain system performance, no matter how many channels there are.
The spectrum is controlled in digital filter, 1/n octave bands. This is the optimal way to control 1/n- octave spectra. This method combines the tried-and-true performance of analog spectrum shapers with 96 dB of dynamic range and the control speed and overtest safety of digital filter design.
The displays are intuitive and designed for ease of use and online system interaction. The display and plot formats can be customized by the end user.
The input channels used for third-octave control or limit value monitoring are defined in the Channel Definition window.
The mode for each active fast channel can be set in the Type column. The following modes are available:
- Control for control microphones;
- Narrowband for narrow-band limit-value monitoring;
- Reference—the active channel alone is measured, but not used for control or limit-value monitoring.
