Case Development

Working with initial requests for major weapons systems, Wyle developed and utilizes a method of producing Price and Availability (P&A) data that provides timely pricing information to potential foreign customers. The model accommodates the sale of weapons systems in more than one year in a given case and provides for the sale of multiple series of the same model of aircraft. This menu driven relational database system streamlines FMS pricing efforts by automating redundant data entries, improving pricing consistency and reducing the overall workload. The model quickly performs alternative “what if” cost exercises on the total cost of a weapon system, prepares cost estimates for hardware/software deliverables and provides an assessment of the Life Cycle Support (LCS) deliverable data items.

Once a Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) is signed and cases are developed, Wyle provides analyses and studies in support of FMS programs to include ensuring LOAs conform to directives, evaluating co-produced and offset arrangements and analyzing existing Memoranda of Agreement/Understanding. Wyle also assists in compiling DoD fiscal appropriation lines by analyzing FMS Project Directives, FMS Cases, PDLI, RSN and Milstrip Requisition Number(s) and all funded and un-funded requirements.
