Wyle personnel are responsible for all aspects of LAN security for the National Weather Service (NWS) Headquarters and five regional offices. Staff follow NOAA and NWS standard practices for system security on servers and PC workstations, ensuring that critical software patches are installed and that established security procedures are not compromised. A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) serves as the on-site Virus Response Team Leader. Wyle uses McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) to install, monitor, and administer McAfee Virus Scan and McAfee Firewall. Updates are managed for all virus DAT files, virus scan engine, hot fixes and Desktop Firewall policy using ePO.
