Space Station/Shuttle Environmental Factors 

Wyle's Integrated Science and Research Group provides primary support and operation of the Environmental Factors Laboratories at NASA Johnson Space Center. The mission of these laboratories is to conduct investigations into environmental issues associated with space flight and to develop operationally acceptable standards and methodologies to minimize risk to the crewmember.

Wyle's primary responsibilities are to:

  • Investigate operationally relevant environmental issues associated with human space flight.
  • Set interim standards for maximum allowable concentrations of contaminants.
  • Measure, monitor and ensure the safety of the air, water, food, and biological environments.
