The medical operations mission support team of flight surgeons and biomedical flight controllers is the direct link to the flight crew. Wyle personnel develop and prepare flight rules, conduct simulations, monitor crew health care in remote locations, prepare console references, and provide staffing for specific medical needs.
In addition, Wyle employees provide 24-hour crew health monitoring, hazardous
activities monitoring, and private medical and family conferences. Wyle also assists with the development of medical requirements for all space-flight programs and the preparation of emergency plans for launch and landing contingencies.
With the launch of the International Space Station, Wyle personnel support medical operations at Star City, Russia and in Mission Control Center - Moscow, as well as in Mission Control Center - Houston.
