EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Aug. 24 – Wyle has put together a world class information technology services team to pursue the NETOPS and Infrastructure Solutions component of the U.S. Air Force’s Network Centric Solutions-2 (NETCENTS-2) contract expected to be awarded in the second quarter of 2010. The total value of NETCENTS-2 is $19 billion over a seven-year period.
NETCENTS-2 consists of a collection of acquisitions that will replace the current NETCENTS contract vehicle with eight separate indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts. The NETOPS and Infrastructure Solutions component is a $4.14 billion IDIQ contract with the expectation that multiple prime contractors will be selected.
Wyle has assembled a team of diverse companies whose experience includes delivering services today under NETCENTS and brings additional qualifications that will enhance the service delivery across all geographic locations that cover the full breadth of functional requirements.
Highlights of the component requirements include: Provide full range of innovative, reasonably priced, information technology services and solutions to support the full spectrum of netcentric operations and missions; provide ability to acquire network infrastructure system solutions, operations and maintenance, systems management, configuration management and NETOPS core information technology services; provide NetOPS services and solutions; operate and maintain network, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Infrastructure; provide netcentric capabilities and traditional network operations; provide continuity of operations solutions and support services; establish service-oriented architecture singularly managed infrastructure with enterprise level security; and provide services at all USAF facilities worldwide.
